Ruby Elizabeth ('Penny Tapp') Rainbolt

Ruby Elizabeth “Penny Tapp” Rainbolt 57 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN.

She was born on June 8, 1966, in Jeffersonville, IN to Larry and Hilda Hutchison Tapp.  She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Charlestown and was a former Degree Audit Specialist at Indiana University Southeast in New Albany.  She was preceded in death by her father Larry Tapp. Ruby enjoyed watching The Big Bang Theory, anything Disney, and spending time with her nieces and nephews.

Survivors include her husband, David Rainbolt, mother, Hilda Tapp of Charlestown, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and grand nephews and grand nieces.

Life Celebration Services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, IN.  Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday and after 9:00 am on Saturday.
