Ruby (Morgan) Ingram

Ruby (Morgan) Ingram, 104, of Charlestown, IN passed away peacefully at her home on January 29, 2022.  She was born on January 27, 1918, in Flint, Letcher County Kentucky to Floyd and Mattie Boggs Morgan.

She was preceded in death by her husband Estill Ingram, brothers Oscar Morgan, Shelby Morgan and Coleman Morgan.

Ruby is survived by her son Ron (Leslie) Ingram, granddaughter Kimberly (Kevin) Wright, grandson Ryan Ingram, great-granddaughters Ruby and Willa Wright, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She worked as a schoolteacher and taught for several schools in Letcher County, Kentucky including Kingdom Come Settlement School.  After moving to Indiana, she worked for the post office and at the Indiana Army Ammunition Plant. Her favorite work was done in her own backyard- keeping flowers and tending to her garden.  She was a member of the Charlestown Old Regular Baptist Church.

Life Celebration Services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday February 7, 2022, at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial to follow at Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday.
