Roy Earl Hemingway

Roy Earl Hemingway 70 of Scottsburg, IN passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Scott Memorial Hospital.

He was born on May 17, 1953, in Scottsburg to Donald A. and Sally Williams Hemingway.  He was a United States Maine Corps veteran having served in the Vietnam War, and a retired production manager in the construction industry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, June Hemingway, and a son, Matthew Hemingway.

Roy is survived by his children, Kelly Nadeau of Philadelphia, TN, Jeff Edens (Nicki) of Marysville, IN, Andrea Gill (Nathan) of Charlestown and Ashleigh Sanders (Rick) of Charlestown; brother, Gary Hemingway of Corbin, KY; sister Edith Morrison of Florida; grandchildren, Caleb Nadeau, Kestin Nadeau, Noah Nadeau, Kaitlyn Edens, Phillip Hubert, Whitney Hubert, Makayla Gill, Easton Sanders, Isaiah Sanders, Douglas, Dorian and Ethan; great-grandchildren, Israel Concepcion and D’Andre Nadeau, his companion; Sherry Robbins and her family; and his nephews, Donovan Hemingway and Elton Morrison.

A Life Celebration Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, January 12, 2024, at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown.  Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, January 12, 2024.
