Roxie Fern (Jones) Minns

Roxie Fern Minns, 93, of Charlestown, IN, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Maple Manor Christian Home in Sellersburg, IN.

She was born on January 24, 1932, in Whitesburg, KY, to Dave and Verna Hogg Jones.  Roxie was a retired schoolteacher for Greater Clark County Schools.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Minns.  Before Harold's death, they traveled extensively, visiting every state except Alaska and Hawaii. Roxie was a graduate of Berea College, enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, and watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune every night.  She enjoyed watching wildlife and feeding birds out her back window.

Survivors include her brothers-in-law, Jack Minns of Charlestown and Ed Minns, and neighbors, Rob and Cheryl Blackwell of Charlestown.

Cremation was chosen, and a Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Charlestown Cemetery.
