Ronald J. Wisman, born on May 27, 1942, in New Albany, Indiana, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2025, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, surrounded by his loving family. He dedicated 42 years of his life as a paint technician at the Ford Truck Plant, where he exemplified an unwavering commitment to his work.

A man of many talents, Ronald was known for his kind and giving spirit. He loved people and found joy in helping anyone in need. His passion for tinkering led him to build five homes from the ground up, showcasing his extraordinary skills in plumbing, painting, drywall, ceilings, and flooring, all without being a trained carpenter. Additionally, he took great pride in restoring cars and his beloved Ford Jubilee Tractor, reflecting his love for craftsmanship.

Ronald's contributions extended far beyond his home and family. He served as the vice president of the Charlestown Historical Society, where he worked alongside his devoted wife, Dianne Wisman, for 62 years, raising funds that helped restore the old doors and windows in the historic Downs House in town. Moreover, he was an active volunteer at the Charlestown Senior Center and participated with RSVP, where he helped build ramps for homes of individuals with mobility challenges.

Ronald is survived by his loving wife, Dianne Wisman; daughters Kim Rash (Greg) and Candy Phillips (Jim); son Chris Wisman (Jennifer); sister Kathy Ann Daily; sister Nancy Tomes (LeRoy); sister Christine Myrick (Billy); sister Cindy Phillips (Dwayne); and  sister Vickie Sizemore (Rusty); brother Jimmy Wisman (Carolyn); and grandsons Jacob Phillips, Geoffrey Aberle, Harrison Aberle, and Wyatt Wisman.

Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, Mervin and Virginia Wisman, and his brothers, Michael and Frankie Wisman.
