Rollo L Ison

Rollo L.  Ison 78 of Charlestown IN passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at his residence.  He was born on February 13, 1945, in Whitesburg, KY to the late Granville and Martha Miller Ison.

Rollo was a retired machinist for Jeff Boat and a United States Army veteran.  He enjoyed fishing, camping, growing a garden, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Rollo was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Genevia Collins Ison, his sisters, Glenna Bodkin and Lenda Davis; and his brother-in-laws, Stevan Ottman, and Jesse Bodkin.

Rollo is survived by his son, Rick Ison, and his wife Kimberly of Otisco, IN, his daughter, Susie Kraft, and her husband Kevin of Charlestown, IN; his sisters; Sandra Ottman and Brenda Petters and her husband Kevin, both of Charlestown; and his grandchildren, Brittany Kraft, Jeffrey Kraft, and Xander Ison.

Life Celebration Services will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at 11:00 am at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown.  Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday and after 9:00 am on Thursday.

Burial will follow at Charlestown Cemetery in Charlestown.
