Robert Scott McKechnie, 58, of Charlestown, IN, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2015 at his home.
He was born on November 3, 1956 to Robert K. and Eleanor (Adar) McKechnie in Clark County, IN.
He was a Navy Veteran, Electrician, Security Guard for Cave Hill Cemetery, member of the Charlestown City Council, and a member of the North Charlestown Church of God. He is preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia (Moore) McKechnie; son, James McKechnie of Nashville, TN; step-sons, Ron Houchens of Charlestown, IN and Tom Houchens of Underwood, IN; mother, Eleanor McKechnie of Jeffersonville, IN; sisters, Ruth Fejfar of Jeffersonville, IN, and Susan Majuri of Louisville,KY; brothers, David McKechnie of Jeffersonville, IN, and Brian McKechnie of Clarksville, IN; grandchildren, Kelsie Houchens, Jason Houchens, and J.T. Houchens.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 18, 2015 at 2pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown. Visitation will begin on Thursday from 1pm to 8pm, and after 9am on Friday.
