Robert “Bobby” Flynn, 74 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, IN.
Bobby was born on September 30, 1942 in New Albany, IN the son of Adam Earl and Ann Marie Gahan Flynn Sr. He retired from I.C.I. Americas after 32 years and also retired after 18 years from Birkhead Heating and Air in Louisville, KY. Mr. Flynn was a Veteran of the United States Army and enjoyed playing softball in his younger years and also playing golf.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, David Wayne Flynn; sisters, Patricia Ann Schafer, Rose Marie Tucker, Kathleen Flynn, brothers, Adam Flynn, Jr., James, Flynn, Thomas Flynn, Jack and Joe Flynn.
Survivors include his wife Glenda Hogg Flynn of Charlestown; daughter, Anjanette Wise(Russ) of Charlestown; son, Scott Anthony Flynn(Angie) of Charlestown; grandchildren, Kayla Flynn, Jacy Woods and Luke Woods; great-grandchildren, Naomi and Naytala; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. and after 9:00 A.M. Wednesday until the time of services.
Expressions of sympathy in memory of Mr. Flynn may take the form of donations the Blessings for Brody in care of the funeral home.
