Robert C. Evans

Robert “Bob” Evans, 66 of Hanover, IN passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at the Waters of Clifty Falls in Madison, IN.
Dr. Evans was born on March 26, 1948 in Middletown, OH the son of Robert Carl and Ruth Spradlin Evans. He was a retired Chemistry Professor at Hanover College during which time he compiled several Chapters for several Chemistry Text Books. He was a long time member of the Hanover Presbyterian Church, Optimist Club, Phi Beta Kappa Honor Fraternity and was a U.S. Air Force Captain during the Viet Nam War. Bob was a baseball enthusiast and enjoyed building model airplanes.
Robert is survived by his wife Brenda Derr Evans; sons, Robert Scott Evans (Mary Nartic-Evans) of Lawrenceburg, IN, Michael Evans (Steven Fischer) of Montgomery Village, MD; and Eric Evans (Erin Griffin Evans) of Evansville, IN; sister, Donna Short of West Chester, OH; granddaughters, Natalie and Athena; uncle Donald and aunt Laurie.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday at 11:30 A.M. March 14, 2015 at the Hanover Presbyterian Church.
