Robert Lewis Copeland, 84, of Hanover, Indiana died on October 12, 2015 at The Waters Nursing Home. He was born July 2, 1931 in Madison, Indiana to Alex and Marie Copeland.
He was raised in Manville, Indiana by his grandmother Sylvia Buchanan. Robert graduated from Central High School, Ryker’s Ridge. He was an auto mechanic for Bennett Motors, Cleve Hoffman and independently.
Robert was married to the late Betty Garlinghouse and is survived by her children, Beverly Gaffney, Vicky Spurlock, Jean Kroll and Stanley Kroll. After his first wife’s death he was married to the late Doris Harsin Copeland and is survived by her children, Peggy Madden, Robin Gunner, Debbie Cloyd and Chip Craig. He was preceded in death by one brother, Victor Copeland of Manville, IN and is survived by one brother, John Copeland of North Vernon, IN
Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens. There will be no service.
