Robert Darrell (Jr.) Austin

Robert Darrell Austin, Jr., 53 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024, at his home.

He was born on January 10, 1971, in Louisville, KY to Robert and Roberta Williams Austin.  He was raised in the Park Street Church of Christ and was a machinist for Corydon Machine and Tool in Corydon, IN.  Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with his dogs, walking in the State Park, cooking, and raising a garden.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert Austin, Sr., in 2023.

Survivors include his mother, Roberta Austin of Charlestown; brother, Jaye Austin (Tiffany Patrick) of Nabb, IN, sister, Lynn Craven (Allen) of Charlestown; stepson, Dakota Hadley (Catherine) of Jeffersonville, IN, step-granddaughter, Eliza Hadley, nieces and nephews, Jayden Austin, Cooper Austin, and Dalton Craven.

A Memorial Celebration will be from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at the American Legion on Basham Drive in Charlestown.
