Robert W. Andres

With deep respect, we remember and honor the life of Robert W. Andres, who passed away on July 22, 2026. Born on September 30, 1935, in Kansas, Illinois, Robert’s journey was marked by love, dedication, and enduring relationships that touched the lives of many.

Robert’s roots began in the heartland of Illinois, where he was born to his late parents, Ted and Helen Andres. He shared a cherished bond with his brother, Kenneth Andres; his wife, JoAnn and his son, Robert C. Andres, who also preceded him in death.

Robert worked as a pipefitter and was a member of UA Local 149 Plumbers & Pipefitters.  After retirement, Robert enjoyed golfing, boating, being a Mason and a Shriner.  His comical personality brought a smile to everyone's face right up to the very end of his life.

His surviving children lovingly remember him: sons Edward Andres and wife Jonnie; Bennett Andres and wife Pam; and Keith Brian McDonald and wife Carrie; his daughter, Lori McDonald; and the mother of his children, Virginia Manahan. Robert’s role as a father was one filled with quiet strength, compassion, and steadfast support, always offering his wisdom and guiding hand.

Though the years may have brought their share of triumphs and sorrows, Robert’s gentle spirit and unwavering devotion to those he loved never wavered. His legacy is vividly apparent in the family and friends who survive him, a living testament to the kindness and goodness that marked his days.

As we bid farewell to Robert W. Andres, we pause to honor a life well lived and to extend heartfelt condolences to his family and all who mourn his passing. His memory will live on in shared stories, treasured moments, and in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Robert's wishes were to be cremated and no formal services.
