Ricky Thomas Nation

Ricky Thomas Nation, 65 of Sellersburg, IN passed away on Monday, September 23, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Ricky was born on January 9, 1954 in Bullitt County, Kentucky the son of Oscar Thomas and Helen Scrogham Nation. He was a Heavy Equipment Salesman retiring from CMC in Louisville, KY, but also worked for several area companies during his career. Ricky was an avid University of Kentucky sports fan, enjoyed fishing, golfing, family camping trips and he loved being a papaw, dad and husband .

Ricky is survived by his wife whom he married on April 25, 1987, Rebecca Gregory Nation; daughter, Jennifer Peters (Brian) of Louisville, KY; sons, Richard Nation (Denise) of Louisville, KY, Mark Gregory (Kendra) of Sellersburg, IN and Matthew Gregor y(Christy) of Sellersburg, IN; sister, Pamela Grace Nation of Louisville, KY; grandchildren, Jackson Peters (Kenize), Jacob Peters (Shelby), Asya Nation, Zachary Neville, Carly Gregory and Leia Gregory; his constant companions, Bentley and Ginger . He was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie Corrine and Roger Sullivan; mother-in-law, Mildred Gregory.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday September 26, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. and after 9:00 A.M. Thursday to 11:00 A.M.
