Richard Allen Hodges, 60, of Charlestown, IN, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN.
He was born on March 18, 1960 to James and Evelyn Heck Hodges. He was a former United State Marine and a retired truck driver for Pegasus Transportation in Louisville, KY He is preceded in death by his father, James Alfred Hodges and mother, Evelyn Mae Fanning and his sister, Katherine Watts and brother-in-law, Myron Massey.
Richard is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sheila Hodges of Charlestown; son, Richard Hodges of Charlestown; daughters, Shannon (Tom) Green of Charlestown and Olivia Hodges of Charlestown; brothers, James Hodges, Jr. of New Albany, IN, Tim Hodges of Charlestown and Dennis (Jennifer) Fanning of Louisville; sisters, Donna Massey of Scottsburg, IN and Rhonda (Michael) Smith of Franklin, IN; grandson, Thomas Green of Charlestown and granddaughter, Katie Green of Charlestown; special uncle and aunt, Bennie & Judy Hodges of Louisville and several nieces and nephews; his special fur babies, D.J., Sammie and Dolly.
Life Celebration Services will be at 4 pm on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. Military services will be held at the funeral home.
