Rhonda Leigh (Hedge) Moon

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Rhonda Leigh Moon (Hedge), age 56 from Charlestown, Indiana. Rhonda was a dedicated mother first and foremost . She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Nonnie. She had a vivacious personality and always made those around her laugh. Rhonda enjoyed doing crafts with the kids she babysat, Shopping for her children and grandchildren, and helping anyone she could. She is the loving and devoted mother of Courtney Lawrence (Jeremy), Whitney Smith (Benjamin), and Leslie Moon. Adored Nonnie of Devin, Aiden, Bella, Baylee, and Ezekiel. She especially loved her Grand Dogs Toby and Elsa. She is the loved daughter of Betty Hedge and dear sister of Joseph Hedge (Lisa), Cathy Mangels (Don),Evon Homeister (Terry), Myra Hedge, and Teresa Hedge. She is preceded in death by her Father, Robert Hedge, whom we know she is so happy to be with now, and with out a doubt arguing over the KY Wildcats Vs Indiana Hoosiers. Rhonda had so many that loved her. She will forever be remembered as Rhonda, Rhoni, Aunt Rhonda, Nonnie, and Mom. There is a saying “There are some who bring a light so great to the world that even after they have gone, the light remains.” No other words could be truer than this of Rhonda. A celebration of Rhonda’s life will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday July 8, 2021 at Grayson Funeral Home, 893 High Street, Charlestown Indiana. The visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday and again from 9:00 am on Thursday until  the time for the service..  Immediately following the service we will meet at Eastern Cemetery in Jeffersonville for the burial. Flowers may be sent to Grayson Funeral Home or the family will also be accepting donations to help cover funeral costs. The remaining money will be put into a trust for the youngest daughter, Leslie’s college fund. You may make the donation to either the funeral home or by sending it by Venmo to @Courtney-Lawrence-33.
