Rev. Roy Lenville Bastick

Rev. Roy Lenville Bastick, 78 of Jeffersonville Indiana, went to be with Jesus on Monday, Jan, 11, 2021 at home surrounded by his loved ones.

Roy was born on December 26th, 1942 to George and Peggy Bastick in Cape Town South Africa. He formed many lifelong friendships during his childhood, one of his favourite jobs in his career was as a manager at Lewis Stores, it was there that he would meet his future brother-in-law and be introduced to Christ Gospel Church in Kraaifontein, where he met his wife Hester. They would eventually move to the United States and attend Bible College in Jeffersonville Indiana before getting married in September of 1978. After being ordained as ministers they would move back to South Africa and established a church in Carletonville until his retirement. He also seeded many Bible study groups and other churches over the years and was an obedient servant evangelizing and baptizing followers to Jesus throughout his life. He was well traveled, an accomplished artist and musician. He very much enjoyed history, but most of all teaching the living history of the word of God was his primary concern and joy.

He is survived by his sons Vossie and his wife Moira of Arklow Ireland and Hilton and his wife Lisa of Sellersburg Indiana, Grand Children Natalie, Michelle, Christie, Ashley, Amber, Matthew, Andrew, Neil, Craig and Simon. Great Grand Children Daniel, Kyle, Leah, Adam, Nessa, Tadhg, Brandon, Megan, Dylan, Jack, James, Cameron, Lilly and Yssi; as well as many dear friends world-wide, and saints that he lovingly pastored over the years.

Funeral service for Rev. Roy Bastick will be conducted on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 beginning at 11:00 am in the chapel of Christ Gospel Church, 2614 E. 10th Street, Jeffersonville, IN. 47130.  Visitation will also be held on Tuesday beginning at 9:30 am at the church.
