Rev. James K. Daniels, 80 of Louisville, KY passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
Rev. Daniels was born July 30, 1934 in Bell County, KY the son of Willie Lee and Icy Mae Partin Daniels. He retired from construction and was a former employee for the Louisville Water Co., Pastor for over 20 years at Ivy Hill Baptist Church in Underwood, IN. an avid Ginseng hunter and as he would say the best looking man in Louisville.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita Maiden Daniels; daughters, Marilyn Wyatt(Bobby) of LaGrange, KY, Irene Sosamon(Mark) and Loretta Green(Terry) both of Louisville, KY; sons, James D. Daniels(Joyce) of Charlestown, Jeff Daniels(Amy) of Jeffersonville, IN and Eddie Daniels(Tina) of Louisville, KY; sisters, Beatrice Daniels of Lafayette, IN, Geraldine Mason of Pineville, KY, Hazel Farris of Pineville, KY, Bertha Buis of Virginia, Francis Chandler of Pineville, KY, Beulah Lampkin of Pineville, KY and Patti Davis of Tennessee; brother, Jerry Daniels of Lafayette, IN; sixteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Rev. Daniels was preceded in death by his parents, grandchildren, Savanah Marie Murphy and Cody Logsdon; great-grandchild Johnny Levi Daniels and brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 1:30 P.M. at the Gateway Baptist Church 430 Hale Rd. Clarksville, IN. Visitation will be held on Sunday after 3:00 P.M. , Monday after 12 Noon and after 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at the Church. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Rev. Daniels may be made to the Daniels Family.
