Rev. James G. Cash, Jr., 87, of Charlestown, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at his home.
He was born on November 14, 1924 to James Granville Cash, Sr. and Lena Rogers Cash in Glasgow, KY. He was the founder and Pastor of the North Charlestown Church of God for 57 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Esther Thompson Cash; brothers, Edward “Cubby” Cash, Donald Cash, and Ronald Cash; sister, Dorothy Stewart; Grandchildren; Sheila Cook, and Shannon Tucker.
Survivors include his sons; James A. Cash (Linda) of Jacksonville, FL,
Arnold Cash (Lynda) of New Albany, IN, and Bruce E. Cash (Kathy) of Charlestown, IN; daughter, Darlene Van Horn (Duane) of Buena Vista, CO; sister, Barbara Jean Page of Elgin, IL; grandchildren; Shelli Brooks, Kristi McLaughlin, David Stone, Dianne Cash, Joseph Cash, Bruce E. Cash II, Bryan Cash, and Candace Ramge; 16 Great-Grandchildren; 4 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at 1pm at the North Charlestown Church of God, 3000 Edgewood Drive Charlestown, IN 47111, with burial to follow in the Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12pm to 8pm at the church and after 9am on Sunday at the church. Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown handling arrangements.
