Rev. Dr. Carroll Hughes Medley, 72 of Charlestown, IN went to be with Our Lord July 27, 2015. He had been a resident of Maple Manor Christian Home in Sellersburg, IN for the past year and a half. Their care for hime was most kind and wonderful.
He was born in Glasgow, KY on August 26, 1942 to B. G. and Jessie Lee Medley. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Lori M. Henderson.
Bro. Carroll as he was known, pastored churches and loved the congregations of people for 40 years. His last Pastorate was Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church for 18 years. He leaves a legacy of a loving family and many friends. A faithful servant for Our Lord as he preached His Word.
Carroll is survived by his wife of 54 years Robbie Medley; daughter, Melinda Burns (Chris) of Whitehouse, TN; son, Brad Medley of Charlestown; brother, Anthony Medley (Sally) of Glasgow; grandchildren, Joshua Smith, Shannon Greenhaw, Amanda S. Bell, Kiefer Henderson, Levi, Luke and Jacob Medley; great grandson Oscar Bell, niece, Amy Thomas; nephew Andy Medley.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday July 29, 2015 at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 11 am to 2 pm.
