Rebecca J. Smith, 69 of Charlestown passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Providence Transitional Care in New Albany, IN.
Rebecca was born on September 16, in New Albany, IN the daughter of Andrew and Clarice Smith Haase. She was a retired claims specialist for Blue Cross and Blue Shield for 24 years and also worked for several area Healthcare Facilities. Rebecca attended Southeast Christian Church Indiana Campus.
Survivors include her sons, David Badger and his wife Kelly of Montgomery, IN and Steve Smith and his wife Amy of New Albany, IN; daughter, Amy Gillespie and her husband Larry of Charlestown; grandchildren, Noah, Brenna, Caleb, Leah, Rebekah, Mark, Lucas, Lilly and Lincoln.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Henryville, IN. Visitation will be held beginning at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday until time of services. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Rebecca may take the form of donations to Choices for Women in New Albany, IN.
