Rebecca Jean Akers

Rebecca Jean Akers, 38 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at her home.

Rebecca was born on February 5, 1982 in New Albany, IN the daughter of Freddie Gene Akers Jr. and Juanita King Stucky. She worked for Mitchell Plastics in Charlestown and was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.

Rebecca is survived by her son, Kaelob Akers of Charlestown; mother, Juanita Stucky and her husband Steve of Charlestown, IN; grandmothers, Betty Akers and Mary Shelton both of Charlestown. IN. She was preceded in death by her father.

Due to the Covid-19 Virus we will be holding a private graveside service with burial in Hibernia Cemetery. Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown is handling the arrangements for Rebecca.

A Memorial gathering has been planned for Rebecca on Sunday, June 28, 2020 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at the Charlestown American Legion Post #335.
