Raymond Maurice Aberle, age 90, of Charlestown, IN passed away Friday, August 31, 2012 at Veterans Medical Center in Louisville, KY.
Mr. Aberle was born January 13, 1922 in Dayton, OH the son of Herman Boyd and Nellie Doris Van Camp Aberle. He retired as a Systems Analyst for PNC Bank and also retired from the Standard Register both in Louisville. He served as a U.S. Army Captain in WWII with the 576th Motor Ambulance Co. and was a Kentucky Colonel and former member of the Rotary Club.
Survivors include his daughters, Dr. Susan A. Keen(Duane Palmer, CW5R) Frisco, TX, Tonya J. Drew(Tony) Coral Springs, FL and Kayse Croan(David), Cub Run, KY; son, Kevin Aberle, Louisville; grandchildren, Jonathan B., Jessica R., Chase, Geoffrey and Harrison; great-grandchildren, Alexander, Spencer Patrick, Stella Grace and Jonathan B. II “Jack”. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Anis Colleen Aberle; brothers, James, Robert and Harry Aberle.
Cremation was chosen and burial will take place in the Ft. Knox Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Ft. Knox, KY. Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, IN is in charge of the arrangements.
