Preston Wayne Hughes

Preston Wayne Hughes, 66, of Otisco, IN passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Wedgewood Healthcare Center in Clarksville, IN.

He was born May 10, 1954 in Chattanooga, TN the son of Thomas and Dorothy Short Hughes.  He was the owner of Hughes Backhoe and Excavating, Inc. in Charlestown, IN for 27 years. Mr. Hughes loved and enjoyed many things in life including, hunting, children, riding 4 wheelers and horse back riding.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Nonnie Gibson Hughes; children, Tiffany Conrad and her husband Ray of Taswell, IN, Rachelle Magruder and her husband Trevor of Charlestown, IN, Jessica Dyer and her husband Jason of Chattanooga, TN and Stephanie Rakes of Charlestown, IN; brothers, Reuben Andrews of Underwood, IN and Tommy Andrews of Charlestown, IN; grandchildren, Samantha Conrad, Hannah Magruder, Adalyn Magruder, Jordan Rakes, Shane Rakes, Shayla Rakes, Savannah Rakes, Garrett Hughes and Gracie Cordell; two great-grandchildren. Mr. Hughes was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters; Violet, Loraine and Peggy.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm on Sunday July 26, 2020 at Grayson Funeral Home with burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Saturday and after 10:00 am on Sunday.
