Phyllis Rae Rose 79, of Scottsburg, IN passed away on Tuesday December 31, 2019 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus, IN.

Ms. Rose was born on May 15, 1940 in Otto, IN to James G. and Opha Ruby Burgin.  She was a member of the Church of Christ and retired from I.C.I. of Americas as a truck driver after 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ray Rose; brother, Steve Burgin.

Survivors include her daughters, Kathy Rose of Scottsburg and Cindy Sells of Corydon, IN; son, Mark Rose of Scottsburg; sisters, Emogene Reis of Marysville, IN, Brenda Yount of Scottsburg and Freda King of Independent, KY; brothers, Charlie Burgin of New Washington, IN, Jim Burgin of Nabb, IN and David Burgin of Borden, IN; grandchildren, Jessica (B.D.), Matt (Martha), Emmaly Grace, Alyssa (Ryan) Alicia (Derek) and Amanda (Brian); and 7 great grandchildren.

Life Celebration Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery in New Washington.  Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday and after 11:00 a.m. on Sunday.
