Phyllis Ann Pack, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, of Frankfort, Kentucky, and formerly of Charlestown, Indiana passed away peacefully on Friday, November 29, 2024, at her home in Frankfort at the age of 81.
Survivors include her husband James E. Pack, her children, Laurie A. Pack of Frankfort, KY, George D. Pack of Lexington, KY; her grandchildren, Austin Dalton, Chloe Dalton, Cooper Dalton; her sister Patty Keloge (Greg) of Nolin Lake, KY, her sisters-in-law: Verna Jean McDaniel, Norma Cooper and Pauline Barker of Springfield, MO along with many nieces, and nephews and her dog Ginger.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Sarah Rose Hall, Janet Sue Becker, Forest Cooper Sr, W. G. Cooper Jr, Owens Cooper, and Charles Cooper and brother-in-law, Clay Hall; and sister-in-law, Virginia Cooper.
She was born on March 14, 1943, in Henryville, Indiana to Will Green Cooper and Lucy Owens Cooper.
She was a graduate of New Washington Elementary School and Charlestown High School. She met her husband Jim at Morehead State University in Kentucky where they were both students. They were married on August 10, 1963 at the Old Salem Methodist Church in Charlestown, Indiana.
She became a member of Old Salem Methodist Church in Charlestown in 1955 and was a member of many Methodist churches wherever she and Jim resided through the years living in Charlestown, IN, Shelbyville, KY, Maysville, KY, Frankfort, KY, Versailles, OH, West Portsmouth, OH and Georgetown, KY. Over the years she held jobs in office management including with the state and city government in Frankfort.
She was known for her laughter, gregarious nature and loving her family members dearly. She enjoyed her little Cavalier King Charles Spaniel dogs, gardening, visiting her grandchildren, watching UK basketball, attending family gatherings and reunions, trips with her college friends and driving her convertible.
Visitation will be from 11 – 1 pm followed by Life Celebration Services at 1:00 pm on Friday, December 6, 2024, at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in the Cooper Cemetery at Old Salem Church followed by a fellowship dinner at the Charlestown VFW.
