Phyllis Kay Miles, 72 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Saturday July 2, 2016.
Phyllis Kay was born on January 24, 1944 in Letcher County, KY the daughter of Joseph D. and Martha Fouts Raleigh. She was a retired Registered Nurse receiving her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Indiana University Southeast and spent her career at the former St. Catherine Region Hospital in Charlestown, IN. Phyllis Kay was a member of the Freedom Gospel Church, loved her grandbabies, feeding everyone, quilting, gardening and reading.
Survivors include her two daughters, Janine(Josh) of Charlestown and Cindy Myers(Mark) of Charlestown; son, Joseph Miles(Deborah) of Charlestown; sister, Lavania Stidham; brothers, Larry and Charles Raleigh; grandchildren, Lindsey, Grant, Justin, Cristian, Alexis, Abigail and Lavena Grace; several nieces and nephews and her beloved pets. She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Delano Miles in 2007; parents, sisters, Mary Ruth Fields, Dorothy Maggard and Lois Day; brothers, Edward Ray, Alvis, Tommy, Paul and Ivory Raliegh.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday and after 11:00 am on Wednesday.
