Peggy Sue Spear

Peggy Sue Spear, 54 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY.

Peggy was born on July 21, 1964 in Jeffersonville, IN the daughter of Virgil Lee and Anna Mae Cherry Cochran. Peggy was co-owner with her husband David of the Copper-Kettle Restaurant in Charlestown and member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, David Spear, Sr.; children, Bobbie Jo Gilbert (Tejuan Johnson), Melissa Sue Wright (Michael) and David Alan Spear, Jr (Jamie) all of Charlestown, IN; mother, Anna Mae Anderson (Wayne) of Scottsburg, IN; brothers, Duncan Cochran of Charlestown, IN, Jerry W. Cochran of New Washington, IN, Virgil L. Cochran of Deputy, IN, Terry Cochran of Jeffersonville, IN; step-brothers, Todd Anderson of Milltown, IN, Timothy Anderson and Anthony Anderson both of Scottsburg, IN; step-sister, Evelyn Hunsucker of Charlestown, IN; grandchildren, Trent and Avery Gilbert, Izabella Combs, Paizlee Wright, Addilyn and Dawson Spear. Peggy was preceded in death by her Dad, Virgil Lee Cochran and grandson, Peyton R. Gilbert.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 16, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, IN with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery in New Washington, IN. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. and after 10:00 A.M. Sunday until the time of services.
