Pearl (Brester) May

Pearl May, 81 of New Washington, IN passed away on Thursday June 23, 2016 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, IN.

Mrs. May was born on July 23, 1934 to John and Emily Brester in Missoula, MT.  She was a loving wife and mother and faithful member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and six brothers and one sister.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 65 years, Roy May; daughters, Connie Watkins (Jerry) of Hanover, IN, Diana Collins (Ronnie) of New Washington, Sally Bower (Dennis) of New Washington, Julie Smith (Ray) of Louisville, KY, Christine May (Donnie) of Charlestown, IN, Malisa May Thompson of Charlestown; sons, Ricky May (Carol) of New Washington, IN, Jimmy May (Lesa) of Marysville, IN, Ronnie May ( Carrie) of New Washington, John May ( Candy) of Lexington, IN and Phillip May of New Washington; sisters, Elsie Stenger of Billings, MT and June Holland of Southern California; brother; Butch Brester (Rosie) of Kalispell, MT; 17 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and many others she was Grandma May too.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Tuesday June 28, 2016 at Pleasant View Baptist Church, 19616 Highway 62 Marysville, IN 47141 with burial in Owen Creek Cemetery.  Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 4 pm to 8 pm and after 9 am on Tuesday.
