Paul Niehaus, 94, of Charlestown, IN, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at his home.
He was born on May 24, 1922 to John and Emma (Ahrens) Niehaus in Dubois County, IN. He was an Army Air Corp Veteran of WWII, a retired U.S. Postal Service Highway Route Contractor, a graduate of Indiana University, and University of Louisville Law School. He was a member of Gideon’s International, and an avid baseball fan.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years the former Carol Johnson of Charlestown, IN; sons, David Niehaus and his wife Kelly of Corydon, IN, and Mark Niehaus of Charlestown, IN; daughters, Kim Gretza of Bon Agua, TN, and Capi Porter and her husband Charlie of Palmyra, IN; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 4, 2016 at 2pm at the Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg, IN. Visitation will begin on Thursday from 4pm to 8pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, IN, and from 9am to 11am at the funeral home on Friday.
