Paul Julian Hutsell, 78, entered his heavenly home on October 21, 2021. Paul was born on August 17, 1943 in Clark County, Indiana, the son of Alvin and Nellie Hutsell. He was a farmer and a retired construction laborer. Paul was a U.S. Army veteran who served from 1965-1967. He was a combat engineer in Vietnam. He was a member of Bethlehem Community Church. Paul was also a member of the VFW Post 1427 and the American Legion Post 0335.
Paul loved his family, and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed collecting arrowheads, hunting mushrooms, playing lottery scratch-off tickets, hosting annual hayrides, and riding his collection of John Deere tractors.
Survivors include daughters, Paula Rhoten (Jeff) and Becki DeCamp (Jeff); son, Michael Hutsell; brother, Andy Huttsell; sister, Loretta Wolf; grandchildren, Kelsey Rhoten, Emma DeCamp, Avery Hutsell, and Elijah Edwards; along with many nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Sandy Hutsell; his parents; sisters, Marie Bowen, Laura Baker, Bonnie Harbin, and Betty Keeton; brothers, Lester Huttsell and Ray Huttsell.
Paul had a huge heart and was a very generous person. He welcomed all into his home and loved having a house full of people. He treasured the time spent with his family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Grayson Funeral Home in New Washington and from 10:00 – 11:00 am on Monday at the Bethlehem Community Church. The service will be at 11:00 am Monday, October 25, 2021 also at the church with burial to follow at Bethlehem Cemetery.
