Paul L. Cortner, 75, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at his home.
He was born on September 7, 1935 to Lester and Fanny Cortner in Marysville, IN. He was a retired proud production worker for over 40 years for G.E. Appliance Park in Louisville, KY. He was an Army Reserve Veteran, a member of the American Legion Post 335, Charlestown Masonic Lodge, and the Scottish Rite. He was also a member of the Community Presbyterian Church in Charlestown. He is preceded in death by his parents and his infant son, Steven Wayne Cortner.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Courtney Cortner; son, David Lawrence Cortner of Jeffersonville, IN; daughter, Suzanne Grimes of Charlestown, IN; son-in-law, Richard Grimes of Otisco, IN; granddaughter, Nicole Grimes; brother, James Cortner of Jeffersonville, IN; sisters, Margaret Hayse of Marysville, IN, Janet Whisman of Charlestown, IN, and Carol Ann Wampler of New Washington, IN; several nieces and nephews.
