Opha Perry (Ruby) Burgin

Opha P. Burgin, 93, of Charlestown passed away on Saturday January 12, 2013 at Floyd Memorial Hospital.
She was born on February 22, 1919 in Chaplin, KY to Perry O. Ruby and Sadie Shields Ruby and was a member of the Bethany Christian Church..
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband James Gilbert Burgin, Sr., her son Stephen Burgin, a son-in-law Roy Yount, Jr., daughter-in-law Agnes Burgin, and grandson Ray Rose.
She is survived by her sons; Charles Burgin (Shirley) of Nabb, IN, James Burgin (Sylvia) of Nabb, IN, David Burgin (Elizabeth) of Borden, IN, daughters; P. Emogene Reis (Everett) of Nabb, IN, Phyllis R. Rose of Charlestown, IN, Brenda Yount of Scottsburg, IN and Freda King (Dick) of Independence, KY, a brother, Parrish Ruby of Hodgenville, KY, 23 grandchildren and  11 great grandchildren and  10 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday January 19, 2013 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery in New Washington, IN.  Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and after 9 a.m. on Saturday.
Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Bethany Christian Church Building Fund.
