Norman Lewis "Bo" Puryear

Norman Lewis “Bo” Puryear, 74 of Louisville, KY and Henryville, IN passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at his home.
Mr. Puryear was born on June 30, 1943 in Campbellsville, KY the son of Stephen “Ham” and Maxie Alpha Ball Puryear. He worked as a cook with ACBL in Jeffersonville, IN on their barges for several years and also worked for Phillip Morris in Louisville. He was always known as a great cook, bargain hunter, avid reader, always taking the scenic route while driving and was sometimes running out of gas on those scenic drives and was a United States Navy Veteran.
Survivors include his wife Eva Jo Hoessle Puryear; daughters, Becky Ritchie(Dwayne) of Louisville and Jennifer Puryear of St. Petersburg, FL; son David Puryear(Crystal) of Louisville; grandchildren, Courtney, Nicholas and Molly. “Bo” was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters, Barbara, Carol and Gaye.
Private graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown. Expression of sympathy in memory of Mr. Puryear may take the form of donations to the Clark County Humane Society.
