Norman Frederick Bittner, 89 of Charlestown. IN passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, IN.
Mr. Bittner was born on June 8, 1927 in Camden, NJ the son of Charles John and Helen Marie Prescott Bittner. He was a retired Mechanical Engineer with Precision Automation and was a United States Army Veteran of World War II.
Mr. Bittner is survived by his wife Nancy Smith Bittner of Charlestown; daughters, Eileen Bittner Hammes (Skip) of Ocean City, NJ and her children, Dante Charles Spataro III, Stephanie Spataro and eight great-grandchildren, Kelly Huber (Bernd) of New Albany, IN and her children, Elise, Sylvia and Katherine Huber, Jennifer Knigge (Bill) of Charlestown and her children Kevin and Bryan LeBlanc, William and Michael Knigge; son Rob Caudill (Jeri Beth) of Charlestown and his children, Bailey Masingo and Cori Caudill.
Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 639 South Shelby St., Louisville, KY 40202. Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown is in charge of arrangements.
