Nell Lee (Bolton) Crowley

April 8, 1920 — August 12, 2013

Nell Lee Crowley, 93, formerly of Charlestown and Bloomington passed away on August 12, 2013 at the Brown County Health & Living Community, Nashville, IN.  She was born on April 8, 1920 in Ohio County, KY to Heaverin and Corrine (Dennis) Bolton.
Nell was preceded in death by husbands Dorman Elmo Wiggins and Everett Crowley, and by her brother William Bolton and sisters Bettie Bolton, Margaret Grace, and Alberta Kelley.  She is survived by her brother Edward Earl (Dick) Bolton (Charlestown), her son Gary Dorman Wiggins and daughter-in-law Mia (Stanislavka Radoicic) Wiggins of Bloomington, grandson Alan Daniel Wiggins and his wife Jennifer Irwin (Plymouth, MI), and grandson Thomas Bruce Wiggins (Bloomington).  Also surviving are nieces Patricia (Kelley) Wright (North Vernon) and Lana (Grace) Himmelheber (Jeffersonville) and nephews David Grace (Charlestown) and Tony Kelley.  Also, cousins Linda Sue (Dennis) Winters and Jack Dennis.
Nell was a former employee of the Powder Plant at Charlestown.  She also worked as a cook in Bloomington, both at Indiana University and at the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.  She was a member of the North Charlestown Church of God.
Nell was a loving mother and grandmother who helped raise her niece Pat Wright.  Her kindness and generosity in caring for others will long be remembered by her family.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 12:30pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with burial to follow in the Charlestown Cemetery.  Visitation will begin after 10am on Thursday.
