Nancy Lee (Moore) Steele

Nancy Lee (Moore) Steele, 83, of Charlestown, IN passed away on Monday, January 20, 2020 at her home.  She was born on April 13, 1936 to Oren Bryan and Alice May (Robinson) Moore, in Galesburg, IL.

Nancy was retired from the Plumbers Local 107 where she worked for many years as the Administrative Manager for the fringe benefit funds.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  Nancy enjoyed golfing, sewing, bowling, horse-back riding, reading, baking, gardening and spending time with her grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband of 58 years, James M. Steele.  Nancy is survived by her daughters, Liz (Jeff) Brooks of Charlestown, IN, Jo (Dale) Masingo of Marysville, IN and Jan (Chris) Coyle of Charlestown, IN; sons, Jimmy (Cindy) Steele of Jeffersonville, IN and Jeff (Diana) Peterson of Henderson, IL; sisters, Nadine Manus of Mason City, IL and Bonnie (Russell) Johnson of Galesburg, IL; grandchildren, Kayla (Nathan) Swinney, Megan Brooks, Shelby Gray, Ganon Gray, Shelby Steele, J.P. Peterson and Will Peterson; great grandchildren, Mylie and Kendall Swinney.

Private services to be held for Nancy by the immediate family at a later date.
