Nancy Ellen (Cheek) Mcdaniel

Nancy Ellen McDaniel, 81 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Clark Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. McDaniel was born on February 27, 1936 in Bush, KY the daughter of Irvine and Mary Hampton Cheek. Nancy was retired from the Jay-C Store in Charlestown after 32 years as a cashier and purchaser. She was a member of North Charlestown Church of God, Red Hats Runabouts and Ladies Aid Society at her church.
Survivors include her daughters, Mary Haley(Kenneth) of Jeffersonville, IN, Betty Layton(Richard) of Otisco, IN, Shirley Waters of New Washington, IN and Pam Clair of Scottsburg, IN; brothers, James Cheek(Sue) of Hobart, IN and Mitchell Cheek of Johnstown, CO; grandchildren, Nikki Webb, Jimmy Layton, Megan Layton, Tim Waters, Chrystal Trosper,Samantha Auer, Kim Ridener, and Matthew Haley; fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ivan McDaniel, brother, Roy Lee Cheek and son-in-law George Waters.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 9, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at North Charlestown Church of God with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown and after 9:00 A.M. Monday at the church.
