Mildrene "Mickey" (Johnson) Morris

Mildrene “Mickey" Morris 87, of Charlestown IN. went to meet her savior on Thursday, July 8, 2021.  She was born on May 31, 1934, in Horse Cave, KY to Elkanah and Pauline Johnson.  Mickey has been married to her husband, Granvell Lee Morris “Grant” for 54 years, as they have walked hand in hand together through the years.  She was his “Baby”.

Mickey and Grant were vendors of the Memphis Flea Market for 12 years and enjoyed meeting and talking to others as they sold their “Mickey and Grant’ memory stones.  She loved growing flowers in her garden, but mostly loved her yellow roses.  Playing music and singing at area assisted living facilities, dancing, gardening, and socializing were some of her favorite hobbies.  She was loved by many.

Survivors include her husband, Granvell “Grant’ Morris; her children, Mollye Morrow Kaiser (Chris), Millie Rogers (Joe), Angela Stoner and Jim Morrow (Melinda); sisters, Barbara Burkhart (Larry) and Jewell Wolfe; brother, Jerry Johnson (Donna); grandchildren, James Elvis Morrow (Brande), Cassie Beebe, Dawn Morrow, Renee Stoner Hosterman (Geoff) and Dallas Curtsinger (Randy); great grandchildren, Emma Ruby, Vivian Vega, and Xander Morrow.

Mickey was preceded in death by her siblings, Johnny, Blackie, June, Juanita, Joel, Jimmy, Glenn, Garvin, Leon, and Winston.

Funeral services for Mildrene “Mickey” Morris will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at 10:00 am in the chapel of Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown. Visitation will be on Monday, July 12, 2021, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm also at the funeral home.  Entombment will follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, IN.
