Michael Steven Tucker

Michael Steven Tucker, 68 of Jeffersonville, IN passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born on May 17, 1954, in New Albany, IN to Omer and Joan Gregory Tucker. Michael was a retired Electronics Technician working for the Louisville Metro Government including Police, Fire and EMS.  He enjoyed riding motorcycles, traveling, boating and he supported IU sports along with the Indianapolis Colts.  He was a big John Wayne Fan and eating shrimp at Red Lobster.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Omer Tucker; brother, Frederick Dana Tucker and sister, Lisa Tucker.

Michael is survived by his wife, Jean Dimmett Tucker; his children, Jason Tucker of Jeffersonville, Stephanie Zink and her husband Jason of Detroit, MI, and Chad Tucker; his mother, Joan Tucker of Jeffersonville; grandchildren Juleigh Vires and her husband Zach of Deputy, IN and Hailey Zink of Florence, SC; great-grandchildren Caleigh Nance and Matty Vires.

Life Celebration Services will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at First Christian Church in Jeffersonville with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery in New Washington, IN.  Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Wednesday at the church.
