Michael Whalin Gibbs, 45, of Charlestown, IN passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Kentuckiana Medical Center.
He was born on November 6, 1969 to Harold M. and Kathryn Neal (Whalin) Gibbs in Louisville, KY. He was a graphics printer for R.R. Donnelly for 25 years, and a member of the Charlestown Angler’s. He is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Harold Whalin, Urey Gibbs, and Bernadine Gibbs.
Survivors include his son, Blake Michael Gibbs of Charlestown, IN; brothers, David Gibbs of Winter Park, FL, and John Gibbs of Louisville, KY; grandmother, Lucy Whalin of Charlestown, IN; aunt, Phyllis Street of TX; uncle, John Whalin of Charlestown, IN; step-mother, Annette Gibbs of Louisville, KY.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 2pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with burial in the Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Monday, from 12pm to 8pm, and after 9 on Tuesday.
