Michael S. Dunn, 70, of Charlestown, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2016 at University of Louisville Hospital.
He was born on April 21, 1946 to Hager and Lora (Smith) Dunn in Blackey, KY. He was a Marine Veteran, retired from CSX Railroad, and a member of the VFW Post 1427 in Charlestown.
Survivors include his wife the former, Linda Whitaker of Charlestown, IN; sons, Jason Dunn of Marysville, IN, and Jarred Dunn of Marysville, IN; sister, Sharon Judson of Austin, TX; brothers, Bobby Dunn of Charlestown, IN, Billy Dunn of Clarksville, IN, and James Dunn of Salem, IN; grandchildren, Lexius Bryant, Blake Jones, Haley Miskel, Jacob Carver, Gabrielle Dunn, and Gavin Dunn.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 7pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown. Visitation will be held from 4pm to 8pm on Wednesday.
Expressions of sympathy can be made to The National Museum of the Marine Corps at 18900 Jefferson Davis HWY, Triangle, VA 22172.
