Michael Eugene Cave

September 15, 1947 — July 10, 2025

Charlestown

Michael Eugene Cave, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones in Charlestown, Indiana. Born on September 15, 1947, in Louisville, Kentucky, Michael lived a life filled with dedication, warmth, and a profound love for family.

Michael earned a bachelor's degree in business management, which propelled him into a successful career as the purchasing manager for the old Paramount Plywood Company in New Albany, Indiana. His professional journey was marked by his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence, traits that endeared him to colleagues and friends alike.

A proud United States Navy veteran, Michael served with honor in the capacity of a radio operator at the Naval Communication Station in Washington D.C. His time in the military not only shaped his character but also instilled in him a deep sense of pride and love for his country.

An avid lover of life, Michael enjoyed watching old westerns and was an enthusiastic supporter of IU basketball and Indianapolis Colts football. His passion for horse racing was matched only by his enjoyment of spending quality time with family, playing darts, and hosting cookouts. Michael's adventurous spirit led him to travel extensively, with memorable trips out west, particularly to Death Valley, and north to beautiful Nova Scotia, Canada.

He leaves behind his devoted wife, Juanita Farmer Cave, and his cherished children: Jeffrey Clark Cave (Laura), Krista Lee Fisher (Chris), Laura K Densord, and Stephanie Rae Bower. Michael was also a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren and a loving great-grandfather to three great-grandchildren. His siblings, Douglas W. Cave (Debbie) and sister Ginger Upton (Jimmy), as well as brother-in-law Monte Farmer (Nancy), will remember him fondly, while he also joins in eternal rest with his parents, Eugene Clark Cave and Dorothy Ann Humes Cave, and his sister, Judy McCulley.

Michael Eugene Cave will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His generous spirit, love for life, and dedication to family will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
