Michael Ray Abbott Sr.

Michael Ray Abbott Sr 67, of Lexington, IN, passed away at his residence on Saturday, April 29, 2023.  He was born in Jeffersonville, IN on May 19, 1955, to the late Mark and Bertha Schmidt Abbott.  Michael was a crane operator, and he enjoyed fishing and working on cars.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Colinda; sons, Anthony Abbott of Charlestown, IN, Michael Abbott Jr (Jessica) of Lexington, IN, Kenneth Cross, Jr of Nabb, IN, Kris Cross of Lexington, IN and Kevin Cross of New Washington; daughters, Wendy Abbott of Hanover, IN and Agnes Davis of New Albany, IN; brothers, Mark Abbott Jr of Austin, IN, Larry Abbott of Hanover, IN, Jerry Abbott of Scottsburg, IN and Ronnie Abbott of Charlestown, IN; sister, Donna Davidson (Jimmy) of New Washington along with 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Abbott, and sister, Sharon Abbott, and his granddaughters, Jasmine Abbott, and Hailey Abbott.

Michael’s wishes were to be cremated and no formal services will be held at this time.
