Mary Ruth Thompson Smallwood, 84, of Sellersburg, IN passed away Friday, May 7, 2010 at Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was born February 26, 1926 in Harlan County, KY the daughter of Clell and Pearlie Miller Howard. She was a former inspector at the Indiana Army Ammunition Plant and a member of the North Charlestown Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband Hugh Thompson Sr. and a son Timothy Thompson.
She is survived by her husband, William Smallwood, sons; David Thompson(Rita) of Clarksville, IN Hugh Thompson, Jr. (Jessica) of New Harmony, IN and Lewis Thompson of Scottsburg, IN daughter; Phyllis Knight (Darrell) of Ekron, KY, step-daughter Kim Smallwood, of Charlestown, 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
