Mary Lou (Schafer) Yount

Mary Lou Yount, 88, of Jeffersonville, IN passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at her home.

She was born on December 27, 1936, in Clark County, IN to Ernest and Mary Meyer Schafer.  She was a loving wife and a Catholic.  Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Yount, siblings, Tom Schafer, and John Schafer, and grandchildren Ann Semones and Grace Semones.

Survivors include her son, Benjamin R. Baker, and his wife Susan of Corydon, IN, daughter, Julie Semones, and her husband, Tony of Jeffersonville, grandchildren, Christopher Semones, Benjamin D. Baker, Austin M. Baker, Michael Kidwell, and Michelle Fox, great-grandchildren, Madeline Baker, Gabriel Baker, Carter Baker.

Life Celebration Memorial Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.
