Mary H. Combs, 77, of Otisco passed away on Wednesday September 26, 2012 at Maple Manor Christian Home.
She was born on March 28, 1935 in Blackey, KY to Hiram and Carrie Campbell Whitaker. She was a retired employee of IMCO/Brockway Container in Jeffersonville, IN and was a past president of the local International Chemical Workers Union and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Charlestown
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Shade Combs, JR and son Michael O. Combs, brothers Arthur, Kirby, Carr, Gene, Josh and Otis Whitaker and 3 sisters; Erie Harvey, Evie Jones and Liz Parker.
She is survived by her sons; Tom Combs (Alisia) of New Albany, IN, Ben Combs (Bertha) of Charlestown, Ed Combs (Carol) of Otisco, IN and Fravel Combs (Mary) of Newport News, VA., six grandchildren; Bridget, Mike, April, Kayla, Eric and Danny and great grandchildren; Kaitlyn, Athena, Joshua and Brianna and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday September 29, 2012 at Grayson Funeral Home with burial in Otisco Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and after 9 a.m. on Saturday.
