Mary L. Christie, 75 of Floyds Knobs, IN pass away on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Floyd Memorial Hospital.
Mary was born on November 12, 1939 in Louisville, KY the daughter of Roy Edgar and Cleo Nation Bruner. She retired after over 20 years from Clark Memorial Hospital spending the last 9 years as an Emergency Room Technician. Mary was a member of the Living Waters House of Prayer in Charlestown, IN and was known as a person who thought and cared for her family and others before herself.
Survivors include her daughters, Malinda Askren(Brad) of Jeffersonville, IN, Dixie Kern and Pixie Burkhead(Homer) both of Floyds Knobs, IN, and Lorrie Hughes(Wyatt) of Paris, IL; son, Allen Ray Christie Jr.(Carrie) of Mt. Eden, KY; sisters, Ollie Phillips, Edith Bolin, Earline Masingo, Virgie Bolin and Rita Mitchell all of Charlestown, IN; 14 grandchildren, Tammy, Chris, Yvonne, Tomi Lee, Johnny, Brittany, Devon, Weston, Whitney, Trey, Jordan, Kellie, Raegan and Benjamin; 16 great-grandchildren; Cain, Callie, Chase, Destiny, Trenton, Lauren, Makayla, Gabe, Tyler, Makenna, Nyla, Chazz, Chloee, Ashtin, Collin and Maddox; and several nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Allen Ray Christie Sr.; sisters, Mae Arnold and Frances Mosby; brothers William and Roy Bruner and grandson Daniel Sizemore.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, June 12, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. and after 9:00 A.M. on Friday until time of services. Expressions of Sympathy in memory of Mary may take the form of donations to Living Waters House of Prayer, 1344 Market Street, Charlestown, IN.
