Marvin, son of the late Jesse S. and Flora C. DeMoss, was born on July 24, 1920 in Hanson, KY. His life's passions were God and family. He was an Elder of Stony Point Christian Church, Charlestown, IN. Marvin found pleasure in hunting, fishing, camping, walking, and playing guitar.

Marvin served his country in the U.S. Army as a medic from 10-5-42 in the Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Central Europe, and Ardennes battles and campaigns until his honorable discharge on 10-13-45.

Marvin retired from Civil Service at the Jefferson Proving Grounds after 32 years. As an electrician, he continued his trade through DeMoss Electric. During this time he was a volunteer for the Clark Co. Deputy Sheriff Reserve for 30 years. He was a Past Master for the Blazing Star Lodge #226 F.& A.M., Charlestown, IN since 1-22-55, a member of the American Legion Post 335.

Besides his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by sisters Myrtle Hill and Betty Ruth DeMoss, and brothers William and Bernice DeMoss. Marvin is survived by his wife of 63 years, Eva (Scholl) DeMoss, daughter Anita DeMoss Friess (Charles Gilbert), granddaughter Julie Marie Friess Cox (Derrick Wade), and great grandson Gilbert Wade Cox, brothers Charles, Jesse, and Hugh DeMoss
