Mr. Park was a bus driver before entering the U.S. Army. After serving in both France and Germany during World War II, he moved with his family to Memphis, IN and began working as a farmer. Martin later gained employment with Jeffboat, from which he attained retirement. He was a member of Sellersburg American Legion, Royal Neighbors Club and enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Dorothea (Scholl) Park, two sons, James (Sharon) Park, and Ronald (B.J.) Park; two sisters, Katie Blake and Viola Neff; five grandchildren, Sherri (Paul) Terry, Adam McCartney, Christina (Eric) Browalski, James M. Park and Nathan Park; two great-grandchildren, Jessica and Jonathan Park; one great-great-grandchild, Nicolaus Baugh.
