Mrs. Selent was born on Jan. 27, 1929 in Bloomington, KY and died Friday Nov. 14, 2009 in Jeffersonville.
She was the daughter of German and Maudy Montgomery Helton. She was a former seamstress at I.C.I. and a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Jeffersonville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband LaVern Selent.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Allen of Charlestown and Yvonne Bottorff of Jeffersonville, brother; Fred Helton of Clarksville, sisters; Donna Freeman of Mooresville, IN., Ruth Estep of Floyds Knobs, Josie Coleman of Clarksville, Alta McBride of Charlestown and Mary Howard of Chilicothie, OH., 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
